Support Services at Houston Cancer Institute
 
Patients diagnosed with cancer, as well as their families, often require psychological counseling and support.  The Houston Cancer Institute, PA, works with each patient and family to identify the appropriate support and community resources for their needs. Our HCI private counseling services with Dr. George A. Vroulis are offered at all our practice locations.  Private sessions are available, in addition to our support groups.

  
Support Groups at Houston Cancer Institute
Every Monday and Wednesday, from 11 AM until noon, the Houston Cancer Institute holds peer and professional support group meetings for patients and their caregivers and family members with Dr. George A. Vroulis

On the fourth Monday of every month, an HCI physician gives a presentation on a specific topic.  Check out our Website every month for the specific topics and special locations.  Most of the Support Groups meet at 1220 Blalock, in Suite 200, at the main campus.

 

Support Groups are coordinated in Spanish, Chinese, Vietnamese, and Korean.

   
Financial Counseling and Services 

Most private insurances, as well as Medicare and Medicare Advantage plans, are accepted.

Our Business Office will assist the patient and submit claims for covered services to the insurance carriers for patient convenience.  Our Business Office is available to assist patients with this process.

In addition, the Business Office is available to help patients in identifying resources for those who may benefit from community financial assistance programs.
