Genetic Testing for Hereditary Cancer

|
At this time, the Houston Cancer Institute
is pleased to offer tests for genetic testing that checks the blood for the risk of
developing selected
inherited
cancers. By identifying who is at increased risk can result in
benefits to the patient and their family members.
For more details on who can benefit from this testing and who is an
appropriate candidate for these tests, contact the Houston Cancer
Institute for more information and for a consultation at (713)464.9559. |

New Patient Information
To make your visit at the Houston Cancer
Institute comfortable, we recommend that you bring a friend or family
member with you. When you are talking about your cancer and
treatment options with the doctor, it is sometimes overwhelming to the
patient, so it is helpful if someone else is with you who can help you
ask questions and understand the information that can benefit your
journey to better health.
